Connecting with colleagues exterior of labor generally is a difficult endeavor, particularly for leaders. On the one hand, it may be a swift means of making extra personalised relationships and stronger bonds: Research present that connecting exterior of labor may help leaders and staff thrive of their work and enhance staff efficiency. However, leaders (rightly!) see that blurring the traces between work and non-work boundaries poses actual dangers. Within the flawed setting, these encounters can result in uncomfortable interactions that tarnish work relationships or doubtlessly jeopardize knowledgeable picture that’s taken years to construct.
