Tracing the contours of her profession, she requires extra genuine illustration of various cultures in media — and a shift in how we inform our tales. “Presence creates chance,” she says. “Who we see thriving on the planet teaches us how you can see ourselves, how to consider our personal worth, how you can dream about our futures.”
