Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast theater’s newest “grand present” — previews begin Sept. 24 — has each proper to the phrase grand with its price range of $14 million, greater than 100 performers, 500 costumes by Jeremy Scott, 11 choreographers, eight composers and songwriters, and — for the primary time — a BMX and halfpipe act.

Enter Scott, who focuses on trend as a theatrical joyride. He plans to reference Previous Hollywood, Busby Berkeley musicals, and his personal archive.
Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler and Christian Lacroix have beforehand performed costumes for Friedrichstadt-Palast spectacles, and Scott plans to ship outfits which might be uniquely him.
