Some merchants will get a break on Monday. Simply not those who deal in shares.
U.S. bond markets will shut Monday, Oct. 13, in observance of Columbus Day, which in some locations is noticed as Indigenous Peoples Day. Inventory markets, in the meantime, are set to stay open.
Bond markets will shut once more on Tuesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. As for the remainder of the vacation buying and selling schedule:
- Inventory and bond markets will shut Thursday, Nov. 27, for Thanksgiving; bond markets will shut the next day at 2 p.m., whereas inventory markets will shut at 1 p.m.
- They are going to each additionally shut Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas; bond markets will shut at 2 p.m. the day before today, whereas inventory markets will shut at 1 p.m.
- And they’ll shut Thursday, Jan. 1, for New Yr’s Day; bond markets will shut at 2 p.m. the day before today.
