Peacock is reviving the acquainted mockumentary format with The Paper, a spin-off of The Workplace that finds that acquainted intrusive digicam POV in a brand new setting. However this time, the crew’s focus is on the wacky workers of a struggling newspaper in Toledo.
Domhnall Gleeson performs Ned Sampson, who joins the Toledo Reality-Teller as the brand new editor-in-chief and finds that his journalists haven’t got a lot—or any—expertise. A type of staffers occurs to be Dunder Mifflin’s personal Oscar Martinez (performed once more by Oscar Nuñez). It will be fascinating to learn the way Oscar ended up on this new city and profession.
The Paper drops on Peacock Sept. 4 with 4 episodes, then rolls out two new ones each Thursday by way of Sept. 25.
