KGET morning anchor Alex Fisher introduced Tuesday he might be leaving the Bakersfield, California NBC affiliate after practically a decade on the station.
Fisher has been with KGET since 2016. His final day on the morning newscast is August 1.
“KGET’s motto is working within the spirit of the Golden Empire. And I intend to proceed doing simply that when my time right here is over,” he wrote in a goodbye. “As a result of Kern County is my residence and there may be a lot to be happy with.”
The station mentioned Anthony Vasquez will exchange Fisher on the anchor desk.
