Reporting on the battle in Gaza has solely been potential due to the work of Palestinian journalists, as a result of the Israeli authorities is not going to let overseas broadcasters – together with the BBC – contained in the territory to report freely, even now a ceasefire is in place.
One month in the past, freelance journalist Ghada Al-Kurd started sharing voice notes with us, speaking about her life, her hopes, her household, and her days reporting in Gaza Metropolis. Her job is harmful – virtually 200 journalists have been killed in Gaza prior to now two years – and even with a ceasefire in place, security is much from attain.
Ghada has continued to report for us by her displacements, sharing her treasured recollections of pre-war Gaza, and her fears and hopes for its future.
